Thoughts

Her glow and warmth make for a peaceful setting in the young, calm night. I watch ambers race to the sky, only to dissipate and disappear forever.

Good Morning

An early December morning. The sun is rising over the desert. I stare in awe as it slowly greets the morning. I am speechless by the beauty of it as thoughts run through my head. ThanksGiving

Yesterday, Speicher Fire Department got a glimpse of the wrath of God. The biggest and toughest fire I've ever dealt with started early Wednesday morning. I fought fire with my fellow firefighters for hours on end. Her force was fierce and unforgiving. Despite our efforts, there was nothing that would calm the beast. After 14 hours and utter exhaustion we finally made headway. Enough to get some rest, anyway. Today, I am giving thanks for those that, even when losing the battle, don't lose faith.
